Rhetoric continued over whether three Middle East airlines are unfairly subsidized by their governments with release of a survey late Monday that shows most Americans think U.S. carriers “need more competition from foreign airlines,” not less.

Among the findings was that 61 percent agree with that statement, while two-thirds think “the government should not give in to U.S. airlines’ demands that foreign airline expansion into the U.S. be stopped,” according to a survey by OpenSkies.travel, a coalition of business and consumer travel groups.
